Logical Operations was invited by the City of Rochester to attend their ribbon cutting ceremony for their brand new training facility on January 21, 2025. The facility, located in the Center for Human Services on 57 St. Paul Street, is a space dedicated to the training and enablement function within the City of Rochester that is geared toward maintaining and improving the skills of the City of Rochester workforce.
Logical Operations has been a training partner for the City of Rochester for over a decade, providing Microsoft Office and business skills training classes (such as Effective Business Writing, Emotional Intelligence, and more) on a regular basis to city employees. As one of the City of Rochester’s training partners, we were honored to have been invited to attend the event and participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony. The new training space is not only new/refreshed and larger when compared to the old training space (allowing for larger classes and easier scheduling flexibility to better serve the city’s needs), but it allows for different instructor/student configurations – is well equipped from a technology perspective – and immediately communicates to students and instructors alike that “it is time to learn.”
In a post-Covid world, it can be easy for organizations to forget to keep skills development and employee retention for their employees as a priority – but City of Rochester is showing that skills development and employee retention is actually more important than ever.
