Description

Class Objectives/Goals:         

  • To provide students with the knowledge of Planning, Installing, Configuring and providing High availability of Virtual Machines using
    Hyper-V.
  • Students will also be provided training on implementing an iSCSI storage area network, clustering services and Scale Out File Server for VM disk storage.
  • Finally, some discussion on transitioning from VMware to Hyper-V and tools that can provide assistance.

  2. Installing, Configuring and Managing Hyper-V.
  3. Configuring and Managing Hyper-V Virtual Machines.
  4. Implementing Hyper-V.
  5. Implementing Enterprise Storage Solutions.
  6. Implementing Failover Clustering with Windows Server Hyper-V.
  7. Using Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit.
  8. Converting VMWare VMs to Hyper-V VMs.
  9. Discussion of System Center Virtual Machine Manager vs. vSphere for Ongoing Management.
